Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Original articles
It is the report of a research process based on the application of experiments or the result of the application of scientific methods, it must have the following characteristics: be the result of an investigation, be original and contribute something new to the scientific field to which it is dedicated. . The article must follow the IMRyD structure: Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion and Conclusions. Articles can add a Literature Review section. The minimum length is 3,000 words and the maximum length is 5,000 words. At least 30 bibliographic references must be presented.
Review articles
A review article is a retrospective analysis of studies compiled in the literature on a topic that is considered interesting for a general or specialized audience. Its readers expect to find scientific veracity, breadth of the reviewed sources, experience of the authors in the topic addressed and appropriate recommendations for the medium in which they will be applied.
Two types of reviews are distinguished: narrative and systematic; among systematics there are two subtypes: qualitative and quantitative systematics or meta-analysis. The minimum length is 4,500 words and the maximum is 7,000 words. There must be at least 50 documents cited and referenced.
Case studies
Un estudio de caso es un estudio detallado de un tema específico. Los estudios de casos se utilizan habitualmente en la investigación social, educativa, clínica y psicológico. El diseño de la investigación de un estudio de caso suele incluir métodos cualitativos, pero a veces también se utilizan métodos cuantitativos.
