Recidivism to crime in young people is increasing over the years, generating poverty and insecurity in society. The main objective was to determine the relationship between the risk of recidivism and sociodemographic factors in young people who are serving socio-educational measures in an open juvenile center. The HCR-20 instrument was applied, with a quantitative, descriptive- orrelational, nonexperimental, cross-sectional design. In the results, a significant correlation was found between the level of risk of recidivism and factors such as: type of family, academic situation and type of offense committed, which allows confronting the idea that most of the young offenders present a low risk of recidivism.
