Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the importance of the quality of social benefits for staff
retention in the textile retail sector in Arequipa. The methodology applied was quantitative in approach,
with a correlational level. For a population of 1000 workers, a sample of 279 employees was taken. A
questionnaire was used as an instrument. The results revealed that, although there is a percentage of
workers who perceive that the company offers satisfactory social benefits, there is a portion that does
not consider them enough to satisfy all their work needs. Regarding staff retention, the majority of
workers have a positive perception of their job satisfaction and that is why they continue in the company.
In conclusion, the results highlight the relevance of social benefits, personal development opportunities
and job satisfaction for staff retention.
