Authorship Policy

The journal considers authors of published articles to be those who have made a significant intellectual contribution to the article. The following requirements must be met to be listed as an author.

  • Participate in the conception and design of the work that gave rise to the article, the collection of data, or the analysis and interpretation of the data.
  • Contribute to the writing or critique of the manuscript.
  • To have approved the version that will finally be published.

To avoid the risk of fictitious authors, we recommend that all authors agree on the order in which they appear in the list of contributions and coauthors at the time of submission.

Authorship conflict of interest

The easiest conflicts of interest to identify are financial issues, such as direct employment, consulting fees, equity in a company, copyrights, patent authorship, and lecture fees. However, interest issues can also arise from friendships, intellectual rivalry, academic competition, and beliefs.

When submitting an article for publication, all authors are responsible for declaring financial or personal relationships with public or private bodies that may (intentionally) influence the outcome of their work. Likewise, authors must declare any relationship (non-financial, personal, academic, ideological, intellectual, political or religious) that could generate a conflict of interest with respect to the manuscript.

Financial and non-financial conflicts of interest must be disclosed at the time of submission of the article. This consideration does not preclude publication by authors with potential conflicts of interest. The ability to clearly identify such inconsistencies allows the reader to determine whether the author may be subject to any bias and whether this may affect the paper.

A note labeled 'Conflict of Interest' will be published at the end of the article. If absent, the note will state 'None'
